I am looking for crew to share expenses for offshore fishing usually on Wed or Thur. I run out of Graveline bayou in Ocean Springs hitting the islands, rigs or blue water weather permitting. I have a Hydra-Sport 2400 Vector w F250 Yamaha that is very economical.
What do you think the expenses would run split 3 ways, I have a neighbor and myself that might be interested in making a trip. Let me know then I will check with him and get back to you.
That would depend on where, how and the sea conditions we would encounter. If we are fishing the islands it is about a 30 mile round trip, the rigs 60 miles, South Chandeleur or bluewater 100+ miles. I figure 2.5 mpg average; worse in rough conditions, better in calmer seas. If we need to buy bait it is usually $25; $10 for ice. For a day at the rigs we should be splitting around $125. Keep me posted,
So $40 to $50 for an average day, a little more if day gets rough or we go deep... I will pass that info along and see what days my buddy is able to go, For me Wed, Thur is great wifes days off and kids in school...So I have no responsibilites around the house unless wife preplans something I have to do with her... will try to have an answer by monday for you at the latest...
