Man did it feel good to go fishing again - but not so good with the low speed temp alarm i kept getting

Meet up with bamabubba at the ice place and headed down to Little Bill Goat Hole after stopping for bait - couldn't get any live Bull Minnows and could only manage 2 dozen shrimp so we got some dead shrimp as backup - should have gotten more

anyhow lauched boat, parked truck, ran out of the hole and within 100 yards Hot Alarm goes off - shut down and reset several times but it kept coming on so we decided to fish anyway by the jetties - only managed one 6" whiting

Well i was feeling bad about not getting to put the Pier Fishing Expert Brian on some fish so i said what the hey - the motor has so many safties it won't let me mess it up - cranked motor and ran for an inshore rig - never got the alarm - motor ran great - ran at 4200rpm

found no one at all at the rig we picked anchored upcurrent of the rig and both our first casts - bammmm - fishes on - then the usual dang it - only 2 large hardheads - caught one more hardhead then it was on - not another one hardhead for the day

Brian catches a legal flounder , i catch a 6-8 lb Jack Crevalle that came unbuttoned at the boat, then bang - 24" redfish , then another , then a black drum - well yall get the point

i had a multi fish slam as did Brian - I managed several Redfish, 2 Black drum (one of the same size got off at the boat -cell phone issue there, a Spanish Mackeral, several Jack Crevalle, lots of Spade Fish and a flounder

Brian had several reds, angelfish and 2 flounder

I felt bad taking Brian fishing in a dirty boat but i was hopng to slime it up - and i did

About the motor - I am thinking Water Pump - it was peeing like normal but spitting every know and then - any ideas guys?

GREAT DAY on the water and thanks for coming Brian - once i get the bugs out of the motor we will really get busy

For the engine temp, I would recommend you do a good fresh water flush and if it happens while doing that you may need to have thermostat looked at to ensure it is not sticking.   Impeller may also not be pushing enough water through system,  I forget what brand of motor you have but cooling problems are common on some models...
