Hi, Just joined up and figured I'd introduce myself. Retired out of the Navy last Sept and have had the opportunity to fish in a few different places around the country and the world. Everything from small brook trout in high mountain streams to baramundi in Austraila to offshore in Florida to salmon in the Pacific Northwest to marlin in Mexico and many places in between.
I'm more of a freshwater guy as I am originally from Colorado and cut my teeth on rainbow trout. I've done some fishing here on the coast, reds, specks and flounder with a buddy of mine. I haven't gone offshore here as my boat is just a 14ft jonboat. Not the best to run out there.
Hoping to learn a bit here and get back into fishing more than I have been. I tend to be more of catch and release, though that may change as my wife finally ate some fresh trout I caught in Wyoming last week and actually liked it. Usually she hated me bringing any fish home as they smelled too "fishy" for her tastes.
Hopefully I'll be able to contribute to the board rather than just asking questions.
