I can't be the only bass fisherman here?

Hey guys. I hope this forum gets going. It has great potential.

Well I've been fishing all my life and have recently gotten into bass fishing. Always looking for new fishing spots. Don't have a boat right now but I'm working on changing that.

If anyone can recomend some good places to shore fish for bass that would be great.

Where are you located, I have access to a boat and hate fishing alone, I know at least 2 locations for good bass fishing from a boat and if you are willing to share bait and boat operating costs I would be ready to go in short order...    The boat is a skiff so its about $5 each another $10 each for bait and eats and we are set for a day.    You can see my last day out at one of the locations posted here....  with 2 of us fishing, 17 Bass in about 3 hours

I'm up for some fishing. I'm in Theodore. looks like you had a good day there. What are you using for bait?

When is good for you? Weekends are best for me but I'll head out after work a lot too. I work some saturdays. I have to work this saturday and I'm spending sunday with my son.
We fished a pond tonight and I cought about a 3 pounder on a pink fluke. My buddy cought a couple of 1 pounders. Then the rain came and chased us off.

Stinkfist,  Distance may be our enemy here, I am in Biloxi,  I don't see me or you either one driving 50 miles with gas prices what they are...

As for bait, have you tried live shrimp about a 18 inches under a popping cork?  its a killer combo in the rivers here... try this along any deep water drop offs like boat docks or curves where the current has washed the bank out...  I fish a canal that has a few dozen abandoned boat slips and has some tree limbs visible in the water and rarely miss getting a limit catch in the 2 to 4lb range.

Jerry when you get back drop me a line  (Gulfport is an easy drive) and we will see if we can work something up and go get some fish...  I may own my own boat here in the next few days.  I am looking as I write here...

Thats a little far for a quick trip but I have traveled farther to fish. Maybe one weekend when ive got the day free I'll get in touch with you. I like to fish as much different water as I can.

I'm going to have to give the shrimp a try. I've heard about using them before but havn't tried it myself. The bite has been pretty slow  around here lately. I've been having luck with trick worms and just this week I've had a little luck with fluke's. Going to keep trying until I figure it out.
