Old Broadwater marina
Permalink

Saw a nice Bull Red landed today off the front of the old marina,  about 34 inches long and very healthy  at around 30 lbs.  Cut mullet was the bait of choice... Also saw several small spade fish caught in the same location...  Looks like the storms have stirred up the deep water fish because there were also reports of small grouper caught in the same area around the walls and pilings....

Word of caution, the area is posted with a No trespassing sign but it appears that alot of people are ignoring that fact....

I went there yesterday and saw some guy pull out out at least a 25lb black drum.
I didn't have any luck I tried using shrimp and cut bait.

Don't give up on broadwater marina, it's a great spot. It's the only deep water inlet on the beach for miles either way. Fish congregate there.
